So I came in for a noodle bowl, and got side tracked by the sushi menu...bad idea. I ordered hot n sour soup, the rainbow roll and spicy tuna roll. The soup was the best hot n sour soup I've ever had, but the sushi was the worst. I should've stuck with the viet food, which is what they seem to be good at. Room temperature, tasteless sushi is not awesome, but I'd go back to try something else.

wow- their pad thai is delicious. I keep going and never order anything else! this is a little hidden gem for steamboat and the prices are reasonable.

Not impressed. I ordered the shrimp pad Thai for my daughter for carry out and I specifically asked for not spicy. The waiter said ok. It smelled good but when we got home and started eating it was so spicy that no one in my family could eat more than one or two bites. We frequently eat spicy food but this was above and beyond what we could stand. Especially disappointed since we asked for not spicy.

I have lived in Steamboat for sixteen years and this place is hands down my favorite restaurant for Sushi ( you have to get the Hot Runa JuJu Yaki Roll) and the Pork Vermicelli bowl. They also have Pho that is out of this world.

Went here for lunch last Friday afternoon. We ordered the Vietnamese egg rolls and they were fantastic. We didn't appreciate the man working there who came over to tell us we ate them wrong. He went on to tell us that we're supposed to wrap the egg rolls in the lettuce and other toppings before eating. For the amount we paid for them ($10 for 2 rolls) we should be able to eat them any way we want. We had the House Pho and pan fried lo mein. Both meals were delicious!! The lo mein was a little expensive though. After eating the same man came over to tell me I was supposed to put the Hoisen and Siracha in my Pho. I had to explain to him that I don't like spicy food. He seemed annoyed with my response. Our server stared at us while eating making it uncomfortable. Pros: Food was delicious!! Cons: Rude staff and over-priced. I'll definitely be eating here again but next time I'll probably just get it to go.

Friendly staff and owner, food is decent! Pho is actually not bad at all ! We came back for dinner and had sushi and it was very fresh!

My friends and I stopped by Steamboat, Colorado for a rest stop on our way to Nebraska. Being Asians from California, we did not expect to find Vietnamese/Thai/Japanese food in Colorado, but lo and behold, here it is! We felt right at home. The restaurant is located in a quaint yet modernized area, and the inside of the restaurant is welcoming. Some of the must-try foods: Hot Tuna, Crouching Tiger, Special Pho. The Hot Tuna is an especially interesting order--see for yourself! You may want to get a camera ready.. The staff was prompt and very courteous, and the owner was especially friendly. He even seemed to greet some of his customers by name. Thank you Noodles & More Saigon Cafe for a wonderful experience.

Busy night in Steamboat. Sat down and waited 35 minutes to have someone take our drink order. Once the order was taken it took 15 minutes to receive. Once our dinner order was taken he said it would take 20 minutes one hour later our food arrived. The table next to us offered to buy us a drink when they sat down after us, ordered, received their meal and check and left 15 minutes before our meal arrived!! Crazy thing is they hung out and joked about how bad our service was while we waited. Not one to normally complain but this is a no return for us!! Wait we received a $10 gift card to come back after the manager realized how upset the others around us were.

Went to eat here last night and it was outstanding. Usually ordering tea is not the highlight of the meal but the Thai tea was absolutely amazing. More of a dessert than something to go with your meal. The Cho Main was great as well, and was a very large serving portion. Would absolutely return to this place.

Maybe we just ordered poorly? People seem stoked on the sushi, but I just can't wrap my head around eating sushi so far from the ocean. We started off on the right foot with veggie egg rolls that tasted fresh and crisp. The veg pad Thai was pretty good but insanely spicy while the veg fried rice was insanely bland. Maybe we should have mixed them? The rice did come with two more egg rolls, so we'll count that dish as a win I guess. My sister liked the Vietnamese coffee she ordered. The service was passable. Prices were what I expect in a ski town. Overall: as one of only two dinners we had in Steamboat, Noodles & More was kind of a let down. Not bad... just nothing special.

Great food. Fresh, delicious. Sad that I found this on our last night in town. Will be back next year.

Terrible Service from the server in the gray knit hat. Ignored our polite attempts to get his attention. Brought us cold edamame with a pile of salt in one spot. Long wait for our food. Maybe we just got the wrong server on the wrong night?? Although the entire staff seemed disorganized. Dine if you dare!

This place is not vietnamese, not authentic asian of any origin. This place is an overly expensive hodge podge of noodles, rice, soup, and sushi. The food is not bad, but for the price of the dishes, and knowing what good asian food (any variety) is and should cost, I don't think this place is worth it. However, if you're jonesing for some sort of Asian food this place may suffice so long as you aren't expecting authentic or amazing.

I would not suggest this place unless you are craving oriental food. I had the pad Kee mao and that was a little below average. You know that feeling where you're hungry and then the food makes you sad and then the price makes you even more sad? This is how I felt here. The price is not right... I can make this in my kitchen with less then $10 and also have a greater portion. I didn't try the sushi here so maybe that part may be good? Even though it's a Vietnamese restaurant the sushi didn't look so bad. The looks on other customers faces made it look good so if you happen to try the sushi please leave a review and make others happy. I'm going to cry now, cause my wallet is destroyed. (summary: go here only if you're desperate for Asian foods, otherwise you can come cry with me.)

Best pad Thai in steamboat. The food is pretty good. Some dishes are perfect, others are just okay. But overall i do enjoy the food here. Thai food is usually on the cheaper scale... But we are in the mountains so that could be why it costs a little more ($2-$5) than in the city or east coast. I would recommend eating here. Get the shrimp pad Thai, the spider roll (soft shell crab), or the mango salad with shrimp. Skip the pho... Its average.

We went here and only had to wait about 10 minutes to be seated. Afterwards we waited for 40 minutes before our food showed up and even then my friends dish didn't show up for another ten minutes after everyone else got their meals. I ordered a Thai Tea and a pad khum yao (pad see yu, flat noodles with veggies and chicken.) The meal tasted great and I loved the flavors, but the service was subpar.

When in Colorado...you get a Colorado sushi roll! The Colorado Roll is tuna, salmon, yellowtail, crab mix, tempura roll that comes with a sizzling sauce (a spicy mayo on fire! - literally, it's on fire). The Pad Thai noodles have a little zing on them - made my nose run a little bit, but oh, so good!

An amazing jewel in the mountains. The brown chicken curry and sushi rolls were awesome. A very personable and friendly staff. It's great to have a variety of Asian foods under one roof! Here's a tip for you idiots who only gave these guys two stars: In the end it's about the quality and taste of the food, not how wrinkled a menu is or how a chef is drinking tea behind the sushi bar. Stop being high maintenance, wannabe foodies, wannabe food critics and wannabe food bloggers. You're extreme critiquing of these type of small mom and pop shops is borderline psychotic. And if you think this place expensive, try coming to Aspen on your next ski vacation.

This place is delicious! My friend and I ate here at least 3 times the week we went to the Steamboat Texas Music Festival. By the end of the week the staff knew us and took us to our same table. The pho here is so delicious and the perfect meal on a cold winter day. Portions are large, prices resonable, and service is great. What more can you ask for?

When I went in there for the second time they remembered me and have always treated me like their most valuable customer every time I go back. Fresh sushi, great vermicelli bowls, pho soup and great appetizers with drink specials. A little pricy but it's worth every penny!

Attentive and charming wait staff, special and fancy Vietnamese food at a great price. Must get the coffee. I liked the spring roll with beef and the green mango salad was fantastic. If you're looking for Asian food in Steamboat, look no further.

Stopped by for dinner. Lots of options, which all sounded good. I went with the chicken Pad Thai, which was pretty tasty. If they had used larger noodles as opposed to the vermicelli, it would have been great! The miso soup was good and I shared the spicy tuna roll with my sister. It was alright, not bad but not the most amazing sushi I've had. I think the sushi menu was hard to understand in terms of prices and how many rolls you got, even after asking for clarification. Still, next time I'm in town, I would definitely want to try some other sushi and the Pho. Fast, friendly service!

Oops have not eaten here yet. Going tonight . Following review is for Sumatera. A surprising jewel. Authentic, delicious Thai food in a tiki style casual setting. We were transported to Thailand. The red curry and spring rolls were to die for. Charming service. Loved everything about the experience except they don't serve alcohol or allow BYOB but we figured out a way around that one. Small so make a reservation.

The food was okay, but the server was TERRIBLE! Several of us in the party have either waited tables in the past or are currently waiting tables and so feel sympathetic and compassionate towards others in the field. The young woman was so rude and not helpful when we asked about a substitution, just flatly saying "NO" when we asked if a spring roll could be subbed for an egg roll. CRAZY prices - $17 for a very small portion of noodles, beef and veggies. She never once smiled, we had to ask for menus, refills, etc. She never once came to check on us when we got our food, PLUS one of the meals was brought out wrong TWICE and she never one time apologized or explained anything. We asked to speak with a manager finally and were told there was no manager there, but that we could tell a guy who did check on us. Even after that, we had to ask that the one meal that was incorrectly brought to the table twice be removed from the bill. In restaurants I've worked in, they always offer the people a dessert, major discount if you pay at all. Terrible terrible service.

  • Mase T.

Good and decent Vietnamese restaurant in a small mountain town. My issue is the price for a bowl of Pho is expensive in comparison to what you would get in Cali or in Denver. $12 for a medium sized biwl of pho? $3 for one spring roll? Yikes...I guess you can get away with it here in Steamboat...that would never work in major cities. So in conclusion, due to the limited competition in this town...this place isn't that bad. It's good just not great or exceptional.

Beware MSG. Yuk. Ate here and got so sick. They really should put it on the menu that they use MSG as some people cannot tolerate it. So many places have stopped using it, they should too. Vermicelli bowl was decent but the Thai dish was sub par. Spring roll was fishy. Server never once came back and asked how our meal was going. Won't go back.

My husband & I took a trip to Colorado and stayed in Steamboat to go snowboarding and stopped in Noodles & More. We went 2 days straight. The food was delicious and great quality for the price. We enjoyed the tom yum soup & pho, the pad thai and pan fried noodles was delicious not to mention the crunchy shrimp roll item. The spring rolls were also very fresh and yummy. We loved the staff there who are very friendly and down to earth-- the owner Eric was awesome! Thanks Noodles & More Team!

Poor service could not overcome average food. The poor service started the moment we walked in the door and a person sitting at a table waved at us to seat ourselves. The waiter came out about 5 minutes later to drop off menus, saying nothing to us. Then he returned to drop off glasses of water, again saying nothing. Then the real fun began when I asked some questions about the menu. Finally, I settled on an item, pointing to the number on the menu. When the food came out, I received something I didn't order but didn't feel like haggling in Vietnamenglish. The food was decent but not worth the hassle. Overall, not a good experience.

This has long been our family's favorite restaurant, and we live in Steamboat. The food is fantastic and all of the vegetables are fresh and delicious. The sushi made by Alex is creative, colorful, and the perfect size and consistency. Try the flaming Colorado roll. It's so good that this is where my children have learned to love eating sushi. The Chicken Pad Thai is delicious and you can order it however hot you want it. Other family favorites are the Beef Vermicelli Bowl (#32 on the menu) and the Chicken Fried Rice (#37). My son used to order two: one for dinner, and one to take in to school for lunch the next day. Edamame is a tasty appetizer. The restaurant get busy during the ski season but they'll fit you in and you'll have a fantastic meal. Definitely try it during the off season. Come early and beat the crowd. Or call in your order and come pick it up to eat at home around a roaring fire.

A good solid Asian fusion restaurant. The sashimi was limited, but fresh, well portioned and fantastic. The green mango salad refreshing and large. I have had better but far worse pad thai. Still very good. The soda limeade was excellent. Clean, good ambiance, good service and decent Mtn prices.

Came here for sushi one night while visiting Steamboat. We were disappointed when we went to Spostas and realized they were not a "real sushi" restaurant. Though in fairness, we did see their disclaimer after checking it out that says they are not a "real sushi" restaurant. Noodles & More Saigon had fresh sushi for a decent price. Among the best sushi in the mountains.

Ordered crispy spring rolls app which came out cold (they are fried) and chicken Pad Thai. Both dishes came out within a minute of each other which wasn't the issue. The Pad Thai was so spicy (and they use little noodles not Pad Thai noodles) anyway it was so hot I had to send it back which did not go over well. I asked for another order which I offered to pay for. But left before any resolution was settled on. I'll try it again but be forewarned ask for spice on the side unless that's how you roll!!

For a town I consider mostly a ski resort town, having a great place to eat Asian food is a great luxury. My parents and I happen to be visiting town and were looking for something of this flavor for lunch. I am a big fan of pho and bahn mi's, so I thought an excursion to a place like this might have its moments. We had a variety of dishes, My dad and I had the pho and my mom had some noodle based dishes. I remember the pho soup base being really good prior to adding in some lime, cilantro, and jalepenos. My mom got some kind of noodle dish with shrimp. The shrimp were massive and cooked to near perfection. And my dad finished everything in bowl. It was a good outing and if I'm in the area again, I'd happily go eat there again.

We sort of moseyed in here looking for lunch. Not even sure what we wanted, we found this place and decided to try. Best decision of our trip. The food was great! Since it was off-season we had a chance to really talk to the waiter. Family owned and great food. Our meal was excellent and authentic. We didn't try sushi, but everything else was great. I will definitely come back here when we are in town again!

  • Wouter D.

The food is average when it comes to taste, the fried rice combination had one shrimp in it and was bland. The Vietnamese egg Rolls where tasty but very small so in my opinion for 12 dollars, highly overpriced. Overall not a very good experience

  • Heather G.

We had a large take out order for a big family. Everything was correct and delish. The pad Thai wasn't very saucy but had plenty of spice and flavor, according to the orderer of the dish. The beef in the noodle bowl was excellently flavored and the peanut sauce for the spring rolls was amazing. Next time I'm in Steamboat and have a hankering for Vietnamese food, I'll come here for sure.

We went here for dinner for the first time. It was located downstairs on the corner of 6th Street and Lincoln Avenue in a 2-story shopping center. This was the only Vietnamese restaurant in the area. They do not have a website, but they do have a Facebook page. But there still isn't a menu to view. When we walked in, the staff was sitting at a table near the kitchen, The server continued to sit and gestured for us to have a seat. We were the first ones to come for dinner. The server did not bring a menu until 3-4 minutes after we were seated. He just came and dropped off 3 menus and a pencil without saying anything. The one menu was wrinkled in a plastic protector. Then he returned with 2 glasses of water (one with ice and the other with a few cubes of ice) without saying anything. My husband asked the server if the chicken in the fried rice was white meat. The server did not understand white meat or dark meat. So my husband ordered the Beef Fried Rice. My husband was served Shrimp Fried Rice. The server was off by one number. The entree had 5 large shrimp with the tails on. I ordered the Pork with Rice Plate. It was good, but pricey for $11. I know we're not in Denver where there is a Vietnamese restaurant on every corner with reasonable prices. The entree came with the usual garnish of pickled carrots, tomato, and cucumber. Three other couples came in after we sat down. The sushi chef was drinking tea behind the sushi bar. When he got a sushi order, he immediately started working on the sushi without washing his hands. The server never returned after bringing our food. There was no Siracha or chili paste on the table. The service was just terrible from the moment we walked in. I hate to give this place only 2 stars because the food was good, but the service wasn't A-Okay (3 stars).

It was a busy night in Steamboat as many of the more western traditional restaurants had hour long waits. We came here knowing there was no wait and we weren't expecting a lot because of that. We were wrong. My table ordered pho and the different kinds of noodle soups available. They were very authentic and delicious. I would suggest sticking to the Thai and Vietnamese dishes though as I think those are their specialties.

We dined here as a party of 8 on a weeknight. We were thrilled with the excellent quality and freshness of the food on this thai, vietnamese, sushi menu. The service was satisfactory, but it was not a busy night. I can see how the issues other reviewers experienced could be a problem on a busy night. Our favorite menu items were the cucumber wrapped sashimi rolls, the octopus, the pad thai and the chicken lo mein. We are so grateful we stumbled into this place and will definitely be back.

This isn't some overpriced Mountain tourist trap: its an authentic Vietnamese joint with an attentive staff, fantastic food and a menu with tons of choices. Ate dinner here late September 2012. We were pleasantly surprised to find good Vietnamese food in the heart of Steamboat! The Pho was delicious! We'd definitely go back. Only issue was the service. The older gentleman who i think was the owner was good, but some of the younger guys were more interested in watching the TV in the corner. So they need to work on their service, but the food is great. (don't know about the sushi, I see there are mixed reviews on that)

Great, hidden, authentic vietnamese restaurant located right in the center of downtown Steamboat. The food is great and not too expensive. The waiters are very attentive and the atmosphere is cozy and comfortable. The coffee is particularly good. The waiter puts some condensed milk in the cup and then puts a press-type device on top of your cup and the coffee brews through it. It is fantastic. We will go back here often.

Who would have thought that Steamboat would have such a gem! Forget the sushi. Try then authentic vietnamese dishes that the grandma and sisters are whipping up in the back. This is our type of place. Family run with the grandma in the kitchen. By far the best food we have had in Steamboat. Only negative was that it took quite a while for them to bring out the food, but the place was packed and people were waiting so that is understandable. Also ordered nut free food as we have nut allergies. This wasn't communicated to the kitchen so when our food finally arrived it came sprinkled with nuts. We then sent it back and 10 min later the same dish came out cold with 1/8 of it removed, but we still some peanuts on the sides so we had to ask them to bring it out again. Try the their vietnamese special for two with lots of different bbq meats. You then have to wrap your rolls yourself but there is plenty of food for a family. The green mango salat was outstanding and we couldn't stop eating that.

First of all, from my experience, Vietnamese food is a rarity out here. The fact that this place even exists is incredibly cool, but the fact that it is nicely authentic is even better. The pho is quite good, though they stick to the meat selections that Americans would like (steak slices and maybe some brisket; there's no bible tripe or tendon available). Ask for extra fish sauce; they'll bring you some in a bowl. They don't splash the stuff about but they appreciate that you know what it is. The rolls in any variety are excellent. The various beers and sakes that my group enjoyed were received well. As for coffee, you can't go wrong with the Vietnamese style coffee served at this cafe for a finale to your meal. Served hot in the little chrome strainer that slowly releases the aromatic brew into the the little pool of sweet milk in the coffee cup below, this unique coffee drink is a "must try" for the foodie in all of us.

Ok I get it that this restaurant is in tourist town of Steamboat Springs and thus, able to charge such high prices. But at least, the food has to be fresh and taste good. Very disappointing. We had Pho which comes in 1 size. By Denver area measures, their one and only size pho is size of Small. Their combo had only 3 types of meats - rare steak (slice or 2), brisket (slice or 2) and a meatball (just 2-3 slices), small amount of noodles in a small bowl with little amount of broth that was very watery. To cover up the lack of taste in the beef broth, they dumped lots of onions (green and red). The price for this feast was $12 for each small pho. As I said, it's one thing they charge these prices in Steamboat, and it would have been worth it if the pho tasted good. Otherwise, $26 with tip for 2 small bowls of pho is just way too much.

  • Tonya H.

My husband and I both enjoyed our noodle bowls and portion sizes were big enough that neither of us finished all our food. Service was quick and competent. I wouldn't necessarily recommend the place as a date night or anything, because the atmosphere is a bit utilitarian, but the prices are about what you'd expect at a Vietnamese restraunt. ($10 per noodle bowl and $5 bottled beers.)

  • Bessie C.

Interesting that no one else mentions this is also a good Sushi place. More than half of the people when we were there were eating Sushi, with some really interesting looking flaming dishes. The Vietnamese food was excellent, we enjoyed all of our dishes. This is almost like a hole in the wall, but with a nicer atmosphere and the waiters are all Vietnamese, giving the place a nice family atmosphere. Definitely one of the more interesting restaurants in Steamboat, and if you are looking for Asian food, this is a great choice. Agreed on the coffee comment by Jay K. - unique and awesome.

Like a lot of restaurants that do many different types of asian food, they can do everything ok, but nothing really stands out. The sushi was good, but i'd stay away from the pad thai.

Yummy, yummy, yummy I got pho in my tummy! Expensive, like many places in Steamboat, but well worth it. Actually run by Vietnamese-Americans, with authentic food. Try the vermicelli bowls, a.k.a. pho. Comes in big bowls with sides of sprouts and jalapenos. also, the spring rolls are actual spring rolls made from thin rice paper, delicately stuffed with sliced shrimp, sprouts and other goodies. It's on the corner of 7th and Lincoln, on the Lincoln side, down on the lower level of the little plaza. if you want coffee after dinner, Off the Beaten Path is around the corner on 7th (before 9pm).

We had take out from this highly reccommended noodle joint. The beef was not good quality in the spring rolls and the Pad Thai was greasy and bland. Also, it took over 30 minutes for this order. This was not a good 1st experience at this restaurant.

We sort of moseyed in here looking for lunch. Not even sure what we wanted, we found this place and decided to try. Best decision of our trip. The food was great!

Excellent food. Nice looking, but shy waitress. Service was poor despite the fact I showed up shortly after they opened and the weren't busy yet. Little odd the staff hung out in the dinning area speaking loudly a unidentified language. Definitely will come back for the food. With better decorum this would have five stars!

Super fast service and very traditional vietnamese food- cooked by vietnamese staff. With respect to serving size, we 3 Aussie blokes were well satisfied with 1 dish each (pho). Cheap and cheerful, excellent skitown food.

It's nice to have good asian food in Steamboat. I really enjoy their soups and noodle bowls, the pork dishes are awesome with some hot sauce and you can always get in on a busy night.

We had take out from this highly reccommended noodle joint. The beef was not good quality in the spring rolls and the Pad Thai was greasy and bland. Also, it took over 30 minutes for this order. This was not a good 1st experience at this restaurant.
